Death Stranding is an action-adventure game and the first Hideo Kojima's release after leaving Konami. Experience the unique journey created by one of the most original video game developers. The game is set in the dystopian United States, desolated by a cataclysm known as Death Stranding. Players follow Sam Porter Bridges, a courier traveling between isolated cities where the remnants of humanity live. In this world, being a porter is not a safe job because mysterious creatures called BTs roam the land. Furthermore, rogue couriers try to steal your precious cargo to deliver it themselves. You'll have to prepare the shipment before every delivery, so you adjust its stability and weight because those factors affect Sam's abilities.
Incredible cast
Of course, Sam has a more significant role to play than just carrying supplies as his mission turns into the epic quest for saving humanity from total extinction. You'll be accompanied by a lot of familiar faces during your journey because Death Stranding's cast includes many renowned actors. Norman Reedus portrays the protagonist, while in other roles, we see Mads Mikkelsen, Margaret Qualley, and Léa Seydoux, to name only a few.
Release and platforms
Death Stranding first launched as a PlayStation 4 exclusive on November 8, 2019, with a PC version released on July 14, 2020. The enhanced Death Stranding Director's Cut was introduced on September 24, 2021, expanding its availability to PlayStation 5, allowing more players to experience Sam Bridges' journey. In 2024, the game expanded further, arriving on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS on January 30, followed by releases on Luna and Xbox Series X|S on November 7.

There is no words in my brain that could describe the brilliance of this game they will do it justice. Hideo Kajima turned a package carrier/ deliverer and turned it into a fabulous game with an “unsung hero“. As I said I do not have the right words to fairly describe this masterpiece, the story, the graphics, the gameplay, the whole experience of the 182 hours (playing this game were phenomenal. I haven’t play the game that I was so addicted to I’m so attached to as this in a very long time, Not since MSG3 “Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Anyway, long story short I am beyond full heartedly recommend this game for all story driven/action based/Hideo Kajima fans out there. Even those who enjoys her unique splendid experience will find this game fascinating. And one more reason this is quite literally my first time in my 15+ year history as a gamer, That I’ve ever written a review this lengthy or even at all about a game that’s how much of an impact it had on me.

This game is given most bad reviewed & was on the fence about buying but when I did it was worth every single penny. It is genre mashup of world building(minecraft), shooter/stealth(MGS) & horror(Silent Hills). If you are real Kojima fan there is no doubt that you will love this game. Story telling is different & odd in & that is the genius of it. The small story reveals & character development will keep you interested & sometimes confused, which will further fuel your interest in figuring the story out. What can I say more about this, you can do tons crazy things than most games dream of, can have pounding moments, strategize about your moves, run for your life, explore in wonder, will get pulled into the mystery of terms, characters, & visuals.<br> <br>If you’re still thinking about buying it or not, because of bad reviews on IGN & other platforms, you should ignore those & try it for yourself. You will see what a masterpiece this game is & will basically enjoy a new game genre.

Death Stranding is far more than a game: Death Stranding is an Experience. It combines No words to describe it; it is beautiful, it is sad, it is thrilling, and it incorporates all your emotions. <br>Death Stranding is a masterpiece to me because it has broken all boundaries in game making. It has a very strong storyline, I cannot forget the opening and the scenes combined with that music unbelievably beautiful. Graphics, mechanics and environments are far beyond realistic. It is clear that Kojima Studios have done a great job making this title. <br>For me, playing Death Stranding is like having the chance to play in an apocalyptic movie!

This is a great game that is not for everyone if you are a fan of MGS you will love this game the atmosphere and lore is fantastic i never thought a game that involves you just delivering parcels would be so fun but it somehow is the game is a 9/10 the cut scenes are long which might put off some people the pace of the game is good giving you new items and equipment as the story progresses the actors are great all in all just buy it!!!

Death Stranding is an atypical game. You will spend literally dozens of hour walking to deliver a cargo. If you like walking simulator or even better Euro Truck Simulator 2/American Truck Simulator, then there are lots of possibilities this game is for you. If not, well, you could give it a try anyway!<br>The story is amazing and will keep you glued to the screen 'cause you will want to know more about this post apocalyptic world.<br>I loved it and I wish I could play it again without knowing anything.<br><br>10/10

Absolutely amazing story and storytelling as usual from Kojima as well as the Fun and Unique bosses, it is a treat to play this game.... as long you don't get hooked on the primary gameplay loop which is to deliver cargo.<br><br>The gameplay loop is the weakest part of the game for me, I think delivering just becomes monotonous after a while and it's weird since I like to complete/100% open world games like Assassins creed, Far Cry, Batman: AC. There was not enough variety on the side missions and I just hated the constant danger on the map. There is no way to permanently alter the world to be safer. If you try to wipe out a enemy location, It will only be safe temporarily.

Death Stranding is a different, strange game, almost hallucinogenic at times, but it is an exercise in renewal, in courage, and in the search for new mechanics and new ways of playing video games. And Kojima has achieved it, this game is a marvel, not only on a graphic and artistic level, but on a playable level. It may seem like a boring walking simulator, but nothing could be further from the truth. You end up absorbed by the story and its mechanics of being able to move from one place to another in the way and way that you deem most appropriate, nobody hinders you in that sense, and few games succeed. Kojima San, give us more wonders like this.

Death Stranding is a game that does not respect your time. As is the case with most titles designed by famed developer Hideo Kojima, you’re going to be spending huge chunks of your playthrough simply setting the controller down and watching several minutes of in-game cinematics. In fact, the game’s opening two hours are almost entirely cutscenes, with maybe 15 total minutes of actual play time spread throughout. But the cutscenes tell a gorgeously cinematic story about connection amid isolation, and the bonds we form with those around us that transcend life and death. It’s a shame such an artfully realized story is in service to a gameplay experience that is frustratingly tedious.

It has a magic of repetitive gameplay which is not boring. The story is exceptionally good. <br><br>The graphics are breathtaking and every frame is wallpaper worthy. It is also weird to carry a baby. <br>repetitive gameplay and a lot of cut scenes <br><br>my overall rating 8/10
