Death Stranding est un jeu d'action-aventure et le premier jeu d'Hideo Kojima après son départ de Konami. Vivez le voyage unique créé par l'un des développeurs de jeux vidéo les plus originaux. Le jeu se déroule dans les États-Unis dystopiques, dévastés par un cataclysme connu sous le nom de Death Stranding. Les joueurs suivent Sam Porter Bridges, un coursier voyageant entre des villes isolées où vivent les restes de l'humanité. Dans ce monde, être porteur n'est pas un travail sûr car des créatures mystérieuses appelées BT errent sur le territoire. De plus, des coursiers voyous tentent de voler votre précieuse cargaison pour la livrer eux-mêmes. Vous devrez préparer l'envoi avant chaque livraison, vous devez donc ajuster sa stabilité et son poids car ces facteurs affectent les capacités de Sam.
Un casting incroyable
Bien sûr, Sam a un rôle plus important à jouer que celui de transporter des provisions, car sa mission se transforme en une quête épique pour sauver l'humanité de l'extinction totale. Vous serez accompagné de nombreux visages familiers tout au long de votre voyage, car le casting de Death Stranding comprend de nombreux acteurs de renom. Norman Reedus incarne le protagoniste, tandis que dans d'autres rôles, nous retrouvons Mads Mikkelsen, Margaret Qualley et Léa Seydoux, pour n'en citer que quelques-uns.
Sortie et plateformes
Death Stranding a été lancé pour la première fois en exclusivité sur PlayStation 4 le 8 novembre 2019, avec une version PC sortie le 14 juillet 2020. La version améliorée de Death Stranding Director's Cut a été introduite le 24 septembre 2021, étendant sa disponibilité à la PlayStation 5, permettant à davantage de joueurs de découvrir le parcours de Sam Bridges. En 2024, le jeu s'est encore développé, arrivant sur iOS, iPadOS et macOS le 30 janvier, suivi de sorties sur Luna et Xbox Series X|S le 7 novembre.

Hideo Kajima turned a package carrier/ deliverer and turned it into a fabulous game with an “unsung hero“. As I said I do not have the right words to fairly describe this masterpiece, the story, the graphics, the gameplay, the whole experience of the 182 hours (playing this game were phenomenal. I haven’t play the game that I was so addicted to I’m so attached to as this in a very long time, Not since MSG3 “Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Anyway, long story short I am beyond full heartedly recommend this game for all story driven/action based/Hideo Kajima fans out there. Even those who enjoys her unique splendid experience will find this game fascinating. And one more reason this is quite literally my first time in my 15+ year history as a gamer, That I’ve ever written a review this lengthy or even at all about a game that’s how much of an impact it had on me.
- I know, someone could think I am mad, wanting to play this after watching it. I played every single game of Hideo Kojima and I can tell you this: every one of them is unique, a great experience that has changed me in different times of my life. This game was no different.
- This game is given most bad reviewed & was on the fence about buying but when I did it was worth every single penny. It is genre mashup of world building(minecraft), shooter/stealth(MGS) & horror(Silent Hills). If you are real Kojima fan there is no doubt that you will love this game. Story telling is different & odd in & that is the genius of it. The small story reveals & character development will keep you interested & sometimes confused, which will further fuel your interest in figuring the story out. What can I say more about this, you can do tons crazy things than most games dream of, can have pounding moments, strategize about your moves, run for your life, explore in wonder, will get pulled into the mystery of terms, characters, & visuals.<br> <br>If you’re still thinking about buying it or not, because of bad reviews on IGN & other platforms, you should ignore those & try it for yourself. You will see what a masterpiece this game is & will basically enjoy a new game genre.
