Why you should buy Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla:
- You love the remarkable series of Assassin’s Creed.
- You wish to feel the blessings of the Norse gods.
- Not checking how the hidden blades work with Vikings’ combat style is a crime.
Heading north
Assassin’s Creed, Ubisoft’s bestseller franchise, consists of many excellent titles, including the twelfth entry: Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. This time players have a chance to experience the Viking expansion into the British Isles first hand. Don’t worry – you’ll also get what’s best of the series, including hidden blades and that insane leap of faith.
Choose your hero
The main protagonist of this open-world action-adventure game is Eivor Varinsdottir, also known as the Wolf-Kissed, a brave shieldmaiden and jarlskona. What’s interesting, you can also choose to play the game with Eivor’s male version or even decide to let the game alternate between the two characters at key moments of the story. Both characters are fully customizable.
Fight like a Viking
Apart from beards, tattoos, and angry looks, the game also features other Vikings-inspired elements, like weapons. Assassin’s regular arsenal got extended and now includes new weapons, like flails and greatswords. You can also equip one of the powerful Norse shields, as dual-wielding is now possible.
Almost invisible
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla brings back one of the beloved mechanisms from previous installments: pull down your hood and blend in the crowd to hide from your enemies! Explore Eivor’s new abilities: feign death and use your raven to distract guards. But not every mission requires violence – you can solve some situations through diplomatic means if you wish.

Reviews
- The new title Valhalla in the series of Assassin's Creed takes the advancements of the series found in Odyssey and Origins and applies it to a whole new setting. It is till a Assassin's Creed game however it manages to leave behind some questionable things from the last two games, all the while presenting us with a much greater direction, a really dense map, engaging plot, and a breathtaking setting. As brutal as the period of Vikings is, there's something beautiful about this adventure. Every action is rewarded with some great moments of storytelling. And there's an amazing world here just waiting to be discovered. Overall, Ubisoft has created a very entertaining Vikings game.
- Incredible, immersive, and a continuation of the RPG-oriented approach AC's taken in recent years. Cool setting, too! Vikings :P
- User bought Assassin's Creed: Valhalla EN/DE/FR/IT/PL/ES EU from Great GamesManeuverability has kicked back and the character is stupidly stuck on whatever obstacles he encounters, as was the case in early ACs. The character is heavy is clumsy.
The gameplay is incredibly repetitive: being assigned a mission, having to roam & loot to acquire the mini XP to succeed in the mission without getting smashed in 1 hit, shattering with a boss in a scripted fight to the death in which arrows are trickle. It was certainly a bit the principle of the other ACs, but there, as the story is boring, it does not encourage us to move on.
The game crashes at least once per hour, if not more. The character gets stuck in the background very often, the only way out being to move quickly with the map. And then all the other erratic behaviors in the game.
If there hadn't been AC Odyssey before, I would have put 3 or 4 stars out of 5, but the fact of not having capitalized correctly on this basis (regressions at several levels) is not acceptable.
- User bought Assassin's Creed: Valhalla EN/DE/FR/IT/PL/ES EU from Great GamesLe monde est très vaste, avec de nombreuses très bonnes idées.
