In early 1944, the Soviets crushed German forces in the Korsun Pocket, a hard winter encirclement campaign that resulted in a significant victory that eroded German strength. They also ended the long Siege of Leningrad in January. Operation Bagration, a tremendous surprise offensive that broke the German Army Group Center, took place in the summer of 1944. By the fall, Soviet forces were on the offensive across the Eastern Front, preparing for the decisive drive into Germany in 1945. By February, the Soviets were standing on the Oder River, just east of Berlin.

About the base game:

Unity of Command II lets you take command of Western Allies during the Second World War. You will manage your army’s divisions as well as their supply and logistics. For the first time in Unity of Command you will face Fog of War. Reveal the unknown by capturing enemy soldiers and launching recon to gather intel on enemy troop positions. Enemy panzers will seek to capture your units’ stragglers — regroup and strike back!
