What is Okami?

Ōkami is an acclaimed action-adventure video game developed by Clover Studio and published by Capcom. It was first released in 2006 for the PlayStation 2. Ōkami is set in classical Japanese mythology and folklore. The game stands out with a beautiful, stylized world inspired by traditional Japanese Sumi-e ink-wash painting. Players control Amaterasu, the Shinto sun goddess who takes the form of a white wolf. Amaterasu embarks on a journey to restore the land of Nippon (Japan) from the evil forces of Orochi, an eight-headed demon.
