A living world

Gothic 1 Remake takes you to a living, open world that reacts to your actions. Although it's a fantasy setting, you're not a powerful magician or a brave knight but a simple prisoner. The mining camp you were sent to was supposed to be secured by a magic barrier. Unfortunately, something went wrong, and the enchanted wall cut off the entire valley. As a result, the prisoners rebelled and took over the area, dividing it into three rival camps:

• The Old Camp,
• The New Camp,
• The Sect Camp.

You can join either of the camps, thus shaping your experience as your choices impact the story.
