If you can’t see it, it doesn’t exist

Subliminal is a psychological horror-puzzle experience that redefines your relationship with the environment. Built in Unreal Engine 5, it utilizes cutting-edge Lumen lighting and Nanite geometry to create a world that is as visually meticulous as it is mentally unstable. Here, light isn't just a way to see - it’s a physical tool you can grasp, move, and manipulate to rewrite the laws of physics.

But be warned: as you navigate the decaying hallways of your own consciousness, something is navigating them with you. And it’s getting closer.

Features:

  • Light as a Physical Manifestation: Forget simple switches. In Subliminal, illumination is a material you can carry. Tear fixtures from ceilings, reposition lamps, and cast shadows to bridge impossible gaps. By changing the light, you literally change what is "real" in the space around you.
  • Perspective-Based Puzzles: The world reacts to how you view it. A shadow cast at the right angle becomes a platform; a light placed too far away might delete the door you just walked through. There are no hand-holding tutorials—only choices and consequences.
  • The Stalker in the Subconscious: You are not alone in the Dusklands of your mind. Sense the faint sound of breathing or the glimpse of a non-human figure around a corner. This entity reacts to your hesitation; fumbling a puzzle under pressure isn't just a setback—it’s an invitation for the world to close in on you.
  • Meticulous Hyper-Realism: Explore "Liminal Spaces" inspired by childhood memories—creepy basements, abandoned water parks, and eerie indoor play places. Rendered with stunning fidelity, these familiar locations twist into nightmare loops where slides lead to nowhere and TV screens act as gateways.
  • Psychological Decay: As you delve deeper, the environment becomes less stable. Auditory hallucinations, visual distortions, and looping rooms challenge your sense of self. What starts as a journey of discovery rapidly descends into a violent confrontation with your own fading memories.
