Build, strategize, and survive

In Marathon, you can choose from six unique Runner "shells", like Destroyer, Recon, and Thief, and customize your build to match your playstyle. You'll scavenge for moddable weapons, body implants, and system upgrades to create the perfect loadout for any situation. Work with your crew to balance your team's strengths, overcome challenges, and win in PvP combat. The gunplay is responsive and resources are limited, so every decision counts. Each run will test both your skill and your preparation.

Face threats and form alliances

On Tau Ceti IV, the danger comes from more than just the environment. You'll face rival Runners, hostile UESC forces, and other unique enemies. Play alone, in crews of two or three, or enter active games as Rook; a lone scavenger with nothing to lose. You can use proximity chat to form temporary alliances with rivals against common threats, but be careful. An ally one moment can be an enemy the next.
