About the base game:

In the war-torn world of Heryon, one former soldier decides to put an end to his people’s suffering. Join Daryon and his sister on a mission to find a cure for the Archelites’ most cruel weapon, the Corrosion, in Edge of Eternity from a French developer, Midgar. This jRPG takes you on a journey that will determine the fate of Heryon and the protagonists’ lives forever. Play Edge of Eternity on PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. 

The growing conflict 

The peoples of Heryon are at war with an alien civilization known as Archelites. The invaders are using a cruel weapon, a virus called Corrosion, which turns people into half-machine creatures. A soldier in the Consort troops, Daryon, wants to end the war once and for all. However, upon receiving a letter from his sister, Selene, in which she informs him that their mother got infected with the metal sickness, he has to choose whether to stay in the army or join Selene and find a cure for the virus.
