A new adventure

CD Projekt Red comes with Phantom Liberty, a brand new story for Cyberpunk 2077 set in the universe created by Mike Pondsmith. The DLC is the long-awaited follow-up to the original game. The plot will once again focus on the player's character, V.

Story

Phantom Liberty's plotline is reminiscent of a spy thriller. Therefore, you might expect intrigues and unexpected turns, all set in the dystopian reality of Cyberpunk, where only V can save the President of the New United States of America, whose vessel is shot down somewhere over the Night City. The DLC introduces brand new content filled with many additional quests, items to collect, and characters to meet, including Solomon Reed, a NUSA sleeper agent portrayed by Idris Elba. Moreover, Phantom Liberty enhances Night City with a new district controlled by the ruthless militia Dogtown.

Release date

Phantom Liberty was announced in September 2022, while its premiere date was disclosed at the Xbox Showcase in June 2023. The long-awaited Cyberpunk 2077 DLC was set for release on September 26, 2023. It is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S|X. Consequently, players who have 8th-generation consoles are not able to play Phantom Liberty.
