About the base game:

North Korea invades the Korean Peninsula, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 splits its story across two fronts: a rookie South Korean soldier holding a collapsing line, and Captain Price running his own operation somewhere else entirely. It's the twenty-third mainline Call of Duty game and picks up where the rebooted Modern Warfare trilogy left off. Infinity Ward leads development, with Beenox, Digital Legends, Activision Shanghai, Raven Software, Treyarch, Sledgehammer Games, and High Moon Studios all working under Activision. The game launches October 23, 2026, with three modes ready on day one: Campaign, Multiplayer, and DMZ.
