It’s not a card game, but items, spells, and skills are all expressed as cards. The strategy lies in adapting your hand to each situation. Cards can be upgraded with runes and you can find many variants with diverse bonuses. Legendaries are the most epic but hard to acquire.
Book of Demons respects your time. It features the Flexiscope engine which allows you to divide the game into sessions of any size. It even learns your pace of gaming and predicts the time to complete the next session.

- It's not a card game and does not want to be. Cards are simply the graphical representation of items and spells!<br>It's a less frantic and more strategic diablo-like.
- Diablo-esque ARPG with a nice artstyle and very addicting gameplay. The story mode takes about 12hrs to complete, but you can re-play it with different characters. Great Game for people that enjoyed games like Slay the Spire or even just hack n' slash games!
- Just amazing an ARPG game with very uncommon controls and mechanics. Its not card based like it appears first but diablo-like. <br>You just need to try play yourself and you'll be improving your own tactics and strategy building a perfect deck again and again. The lenght is just right and you can replay it a few runs more..<br>I love little hidden games like this. Bravo to developers!!!
- when i had Game Pass subscription i played that game. it's heavily inspired by the first Diablo game - we have a warrior, mage or rouge character to choose from and our goal is to purify Cathedral Catacombs from demonic presence, but we not gain normal items by slashing mobs only cards which means al lot of deck build on start, because on first level chars can't hold much of them. With every level up we gain points and hold more cards (some can be used on specific level, some can strong your equip). Before you lure to Cathedral you can choose length of dungeon you explore but be wary more deep you go the game gets harder, and also it has a rougelike mechanic - when you die you lose everything. You can recover your body for some amount of time but mostly its suicide mission. The art style is very unique and music too. For me it was a great experience and i'm proud of Polish dev behind it
