Assume the role of Takeshi, a Japanese warrior tasked with protecting his town from an Oni's zombie army attempting to overrun the land. Fight against his army of tengu, zombies, and the terrifying Jorogumo, all inspired by Japanese mythology, in this one-of-a-kind, horrific stop-motion cinematic adventure. Explore a meticulously constructed universe filled with Japanese mythology and folklore. Explore destroyed settlements, mountain caves, barren cemeteries, and more. Battle yokai, undead monsters, and demons are expertly rendered in a highly detailed, Ray Harryhausen-inspired stop-motion technique.

Fight through the undead hordes as three different characters: Takeshi, a competent samurai; Kodama, a brave but small spirit; and Chisai, a warrior cat. Each interacts with the world in a unique way, ranging from fierce sword battle to precision platforming and exploration. Confront armies of demons armed with ancient Japanese weapons such as the renowned katana, the versatile yari spear, and the powerful bow. Fight your way to the Oni's palace, unleashing powerful special power attacks and combos unique to each character.
