Valorborn, developed and published by Laps Games (the team behind Land of the Vikings), is a high-freedom sandbox RPG that emphasizes systemic simulation over scripted narratives. Often described as "Medieval Kenshi," the game places you in a world where AI villagers follow complex routines, factions vie for territorial dominance, and death is both permanent and meaningful.

• A Living, Unscripted World: Experience a "persistence-first" simulation. NPCs go to work, travel between towns, and react to threats regardless of your presence. Factions like local guilds and noble kingdoms engage in power struggles that you can ignore, exploit, or influence.
• The "No Fake Doors" Policy: True to its promise of total immersion, every structure in Valorborn is fully enterable. There are no decorative backdrops—if you see a tower on a distant peak or a cellar in a village, you can explore every inch of it for loot or lore.
• Usage-Based Progression: Your character grows through action, not just menus. If you fight with a mace, your strength and mace proficiency increase. If you spend your nights lockpicking, your stealth skills sharpen. Every choice teaches your hero something new.
• Deep Party Management: Play as a lone wolf or recruit a diverse squad. Customize every member’s appearance, physique, and backstory. You can even manage multiple party members simultaneously as they pursue different goals in different parts of the world.
