The Hunter & The Beast is the latest Lords Pack for Total War: WARHAMMER II. Introducing two rival Legendary Lords from the world of Warhammer Fantasy Battles, each with their own objectives, mechanics, units and playstyle, for use in both the Eye of the Vortex and Mortal Empires campaigns, and custom/multiplayer battles.

The first Total War: Warhammer was released in 2016. It proved that the award-winning strategy games series and the beloved grimdark fantasy world created by Games Workshop combine perfectly. Total War: Warhammer II is its sequel. Just like its predecessor, Total War: Warhammer II is a strategy game that lets you lead massive armies of four unique factions: Lizardmen, High Elves, Dark Elves, and Skaven. The game consists of two layers. You will travel the vivid open world in a turn-based campaign and fight real-time battles of epic proportions.
Total War: Warhammer II gameplay
The game features a vast narrative single-player campaign, letting you lead four mighty races that fight for control of the Great Vortex. You may also face other strategies enthusiasts in multiplayer. Use your favorite units to build an unstoppable army that will show your adversaries who the real warlord is. In each Total War: Warhammer II's game mode, you'll lead thousand-strong legions full of extraordinary units such as ferocious monsters and legendary heroes.

Compared to the other lord packs that CA have made, this one feels pretty underwhelming. Once the novelty of playing as the Empire in Lustria wears off, which happens surprisingly quickly, Marcus Wulfhart's campaign loses a lot of its luster. The reinforcement/expedition seems complex at first, but really amounts to a few free units now and then. Nakai's factions is pretty much just horde Lizardmen, which isn't nearly as fun as it first seems. I grew bored with his campaign pretty quickly.<br><br>Still, if you're utterly addicted to Warhammer II like I am, there's really no reason not to buy this DLC.
