description Description and requirements

The Stanley Parable is a first person exploration game. You will play as Stanley, and you will not play as Stanley. You will follow a story, you will not follow a story. You will have a choice, you will have no choice. The game will end, the game will never end. Contradiction follows contradiction, the rules of how games should work are broken, then broken again. This world was not made for you to understand.

But as you explore, slowly, meaning begins to arise, the paradoxes might start to make sense, perhaps you are powerful after all. The game is not here to fight you; it is inviting you to dance.

If you like sarcasm, this is your game

It’s a walking simulator, we control Stanley, an office worker bored of his life.
The distinctive touch of this walking simulator is the fact that there is a narrator who says what our character, Stanley, will do next.
As soon as we enter, they tell us that supposedly our objective is to discover what is happening and why we are alone in the office.
But then we start to move and we can decide if we will listen to the narrator or not, with hilarious consequences in the case of the second option.
This game has one of the best monologues in all history of games.
