You've abandoned your home, only to become lost in space with a damaged ship. To repair your ship and explore the huge universe, you must beam down to the planet below and acquire necessary supplies.

In Starbound, you write your own story; there is no incorrect way to play! You can opt to restore the cosmos from the forces who destroyed your home, uncovering deeper galactic secrets in the process, or you can skip the heroic trip entirely and colonize unexplored planets. Settle down and farm the land, become an intergalactic landlord, travel from world to planet collecting rare critters, or venture into hazardous dungeons to claim astonishing treasures.
