Feel completely free to approach the world however you choose. You decide what you can do, where you travel, and how you can survive. There aren't any NPCs yelling instructions at you or assigning you to quests you don't want to complete.
Survival horror simulator
Either by yourself or with friends in co-op mode, survive a dangerous environment with unique enemies, some of which are practically human in appearance and others which are unlike anything you have ever seen. Save yourself and those you care about by arming yourself with pistols, axes, stun batons, and more. To construct fortifications, share resources, and cooperate. Examine both the above and below surfaces with backup.
Experience deeply every in-game action and changing seasons system. Split sticks to start a fire. Axes can be used to remove floors and windows. You can construct a little cabin or a seaside compound. In the spring and summer, catch fresh salmon straight from streams to satiate your hunger. As winter approaches and food and resources become scarce, will you be able to survive so easily?
