It's a good Sonic game full of fanservice to the saga but weighed down by some bad playable decisions. The theme of experimenting with the avatar, although original by itself, does not have much place in a Sonic game where what we want is to manage the hedgehog and his friends. The levels are short but intense and the music is great as always. The main problem for me is that in the 2d phases the sonic jumps very little and does not feel very agile. Still, it is an enjoyable Sonic that does not deserve the amount of negative reviews it has.
