Welcome to Aeternum

New World: Aeternum is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game set on a mysterious Aeternum island. It's a land of magic and possibilities. Explore it alone or with your friends to experience unbelievable adventures and find unimaginable treasures. However, always be prepared because Aeternum is as beautiful as dangerous.

Dangerous adventure

You will start your adventure on Aeterunm by picking one of seven character archetypes:

• Destroyer,
• Musketeer,
• Mystic,
• Occultist,
• Ranger,
• Soldier,
• Swordbearer.

Each archetype offers unique skills and abilities. However, if you want to change your playstyle or try something new, you can switch it freely. Your character's skills will be as important as the weapons they wield because Aeternum is full of hazards. You can arm yourself with a wide range of melee and ranged weapons, as well as supernatural powers. New World features a dynamic combat system, so you will use your arsenal a lot. Especially if you decide to join thrilling rides or engage in epic PvP battles.

Release, platforms, and content

New World was first released on PC in 2021. The game changed its title to New World: Aeternum and premiered on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X on October 15, 2024. The console versions of New World: Aeterum include the content from the base game and the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion.
