About the base game:

Growing up may be awkward, funny, and sometimes even sad. But looking back at it always brings nostalgic feelings. Go back to the 90s and make decisions that will impact the life of Sarah in a unique adventure game by 5am Games. Through writing Sarah’s letter and chatting on the Internet, shape her personality and see how her life will turn out when she becomes an adult.

Coming of age

Letters: a Written Adventure is a warm story about growing up and all its perks and troubles. You start in the 90s and watch the main protagonist, Sarah, grow up through a unique game’s mechanic of modifying her letters and, later in the 2000s, her online chats. As you do so, you shape the little girl’s personality and influence her relationships. It’s all up to you and your decisions how her adult life will turn out.

Power of words

Traverse through letters and chats. Use every word wisely, as they are very powerful. With the words, you can help your friends out and overcome obstacles that you’ll encounter during the adventure. However, Sarah is a shy girl, and finding the right words may be difficult sometimes. You can change, modify, and create them to help her out.

Growing up is not easy

Every decision you make and word you use throughout the game influence Sarah’s future: her personality, looks, love life, and relationships. So be careful, because you may not like the outcome! However, you can always go back in time and change your steps, rewriting the story from the beginning. Immerse yourself in Sarah’s adventure. This cozy, funny, and playful coming-of-age game with beautiful hand-drawn visuals and pixel art will stay with you for a long time. Moreover, you can practice your English writing skills with it!
