Players were given a rich, explorable fantasy world in Dragon's Dogma 2, which challenged them to make their own decisions about everything from the appearance of their Arisen to their career, their party, how to handle various circumstances, and more. About the base game:

Dragon's Dogma 2 is going to retain the core gameplay elements of the original game, such as its unique pawn system, real-time combat, and expansive open world. However, the sequel is also expected to introduce new gameplay mechanics and features. 

Pawn system

During battles, you will have AI-controlled characters called pawns by your side. Whether human or beastren, your Arisen will lead a party consisting of up to three unique pawns on the journey. The main pawn, who is always by your side, can be customized by players.
