This is an Xbox Series X/S version of the game.
CrossfireX is the sequel to a long-running CrossFire game, which is incredibly popular, especially in Asia. With the second installment, the developers, Remedy Entertainment and Smilegate Entertainment, wish to introduce this franchise to a worldwide audience. And this time, the game will be available on PCs and Xbox consoles.
The title combines a single-player campaign and free-to-play multiplayer. In the free-to-play part, two opposing teams fight against each other as the representatives of two hostile military factions. All players are equipped with the same standard weapons. CrossfireX features an additional variation of the classic mode called The Spectre, where the players are fighting only with knives, but they remain invisible while standing still.
The announced single-player mode of CrossfireX is said to include several operations, each divided into episodes. At the launch time, we can expect two operations to be released. The stories will most probably let you dive into the global conflict between Black List and Global Risk, two private military factions.
CrossfireX will include the empowered operatives, called Legendary Mercenaries, with unique abilities and powers. You’ll be able to unlock them as the rewards for killstreaks. They are part of the Tactical Growth System, which will provide in-game mechanics, letting players upgrade as they gain experience in matches.
