Buy FIFA Games and FIFA Points

The FIFA video game series is a popular franchise of football simulation video games published by EA Sports. The first game featuring the famous "EA Sports it's in the game" line was released in 1993. It was called FIFA International Soccer. Even though it featured only national teams filled with players with made-up names, the game was an enormous hit. Its success was a surprise even for most of the EA Sports executives because they had not believed that anyone would buy a soccer game.

The best FIFA game ever?

In the next few years, the FIFA games became more and more realistic. The players' names were replaced with real ones, and the teams' logos and stadiums were also accurately represented. By the time the fifth game in the series was released in 1997, clubs had joined national teams in the game. The same year saw the release of another important game in the series: FIFA: World Cup 98. As its name suggests, besides many leagues, it covered the 1998 World Cup held in France.

It would be incredibly tough to get all the best FIFA games ranked. Nonetheless, if someone makes such a list, FIFA 98 undoubtedly takes one of the top spots. Of course, its graphics is outdated, but the gameplay remains entertaining, and the intro featuring Song 2 by Blur is nothing short of perfect. It was also the last FIFA game to feature indoor football. So FIFA 98 may be the best game in the series.

FIFA spin-offs

FIFA games are released annually, each featuring updated teams and players as well as some gameplay improvements and updated visuals. As a result, it's impossible to compare the classic FIFA games with modern installments, such as FIFA 20, FIFA 21, FIFA 22, and FIFA 23, which is the last FIFA or at least the final FIFA developed and published by EA Sports. Moreover, apart from the main series, some of its spin-offs focus on specific tournaments:

  • FIFA World Cup
  • UEFA Euro
  • UEFA Champions League

Recently, World Cup, Euro, Champions League, and other main tournaments don't have their own game. They are included as a part of the main FIFA games instead. For instance, FIFA 23 features the World Cup mode that covers FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and Women's World Cup Australia/ New Zealand 2023. However, sometimes big tournaments are not available from day one - they are added later as a paid or even free DLC.

There was also the FIFA Street spin-off that featured arcade-style gameplay. However, EA Sports released the last FIFA Street game in 2012 and focused o the main series. The modern FIFA games are known for their realistic graphics and gameplay. They also feature a variety of game modes:

  • Volta Football - this game mode debuted in FIFA 20. It's basically street football, so it resembles FIFA Street.
  • Career Mode - in this mode, the player can create their own footballer or manager and follow their career. You can develop your career through many seasons and join clubs from leagues all around the world, including Premiere League, Seria A, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, and even Polish Ekstraklasa.
  • FIFA Ultimate Team - FUT is the most popular FIFA mode. It allows players to create their dream team of real-life footballers and competes with other players online. FUT is regularly updated, so players always find new challenges and new players to acquire. Moreover, FIFA Ultimate Team offers multiple match types, including Squad Battles, Team of the Week Challenge, Division Rivals, and FUT Friendlies. Consequently, players have many opportunities to test their dream squads, especially if they like to play FIFA online.

FIFA platforms

One of the keys to the FIFA series' popularity is its availability on all the most favored gaming platforms. For instance, FIFA 23 is available for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Google Stadia.

Another marker of FIFA's popularity is even many professional footballers care about FIFA ratings and how they are portrayed in the game. Everyone wants to have the highest FIFA Rating in the game and a place in the FIFA Team of the Year (TOTY). For example, this was FIFA 20 TOTY: Alisson Becker - Trent Alexander-Arnold - Virgil van Dijk Matthijs De Ligt - Andy Robertson - Kevin De Bruyne - Frankie De Jong - N'Golo Kante - Sadio Mane - Kylian Mbappe - Lionel Messi - Cristiano Ronaldo.

FIFA POINTS

FIFA Points and FIFA Coins are the two main currencies in FIFA games. They can be used to open FUT Packs, which contain random footballers. Alternatively, players can use FIFA Points or FIFA Coins to buy specific players on the transfer market. FIFA 23 - the last in the series

The series that began with FIFA International Soccer in 1993 ends almost 30 years later. FIFA 23 is the last one in the franchise. Rumor has it that Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) wanted so much money for renewing their license that EA Sports decided to terminate this long-lasting cooperation. As a result, EA Sports will launch a new football series called EA Sports FC.
