Total War: Three Kingdoms is as close to flawless as you'll find, with a fantastic balance of 4X strategy and character-focused development and emergent storytelling. The battles are frantic, with increased tactical opportunities through duelling. City development is more intuitive and less restrictive, though still requires thought and all of this takes place on a China that looks downright fantastic, where even the UI and menus look great. This is the Total War experience and a new high for the series.

I have been a big fan of the Romance of Three Kingdoms.<br>I have read the book and even watched a television series (2010) which can be found on youtube (PS: I highly recommend it)<br>Knowing the story and characters makes it 10 times more enjoyable to play this game.<br>If you are unaware, This is the series of events that happens after the Han dynasty falls in China.<br>I have always dreamed of a proper strategy game related to this era.<br>Now I am happy to say that Creative Assembly has finally made it.<br>Here is a list of what I enjoyed about this game<br><br> -Accurate Character design<br> -Great Diplomatic relationship<br> -Beautiful UI and map design<br> -Fantastic mechanics<br> -Hundreds of hours of gameplay<br><br>This game was the best selling strategy game in 2019 and I highly recommend it to every fan of strategy games.

Within the top 3 best TWs of all time, and easily the most polished historical title since Shogun 2. The campaign mechanics, graphics, and the attention to detail is second to none within the TW franchise.<br><br>The game is very, very well optimized. I have been running the game on a five year old PC, and it was honestly shocking how well I was able to run the game, even on extreme unit sizes. Run the game using the Romance color filter, it's better.<br>
