About the base game:

TEC1 is about to launch the second season of its popular television show, SCUM, which takes the barbaric concept of bloodsports to a whole new level. This time, the setting has been moved from enclosed arenas to the stunning and rugged landscapes of SCUM Island. Both new and returning prisoners will have to battle it out for survival in the hope of winning over the support of viewers, producers, and sponsors, all in the name of fame, fortune, and a chance at life beyond the island.

SCUM offers an unprecedented level of character customization, control, and progression, where players' knowledge and skills are crucial for long-term survival. This multiplayer open-world survival game offers a unique balance of hardcore simulation and intense action, with optional PvP "network events" accessible to everyone at any time.
