Prey is a first-person sci-fi action game from Arkane Studios, the award-winning creators of the 2012 'Game of the Year', Dishonored. Known for their creative gameplay, distinctive worlds and immersive stories, Arkane reimagines this franchise from the ground up, with an added psychological twist. In Prey, you are the first human enhanced with alien powers aboard a desolate space station under assault. Improvise and innovate in order to survive as you search for answers. Prey is a bold new story set in a dangerous universe.
In Prey, you awaken aboard Talos I, a space station orbiting the moon in the year 2032. You are the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever – but things have gone terribly wrong. The space station has been overrun by hostile aliens and you are now being hunted. As you dig into the dark secrets of Talos I and your own past, you must survive using the tools found on the station, your wits, weapons, and mind-bending abilities. Reviews
- I am playing it in a nightmare and it is a challenging game in some places where the enemies make it go wrong. I think, and it is my opinion, that Prey is a fairly complete game. It has parts of action, but it is an action tinged with a terror, which even being veiled, makes you always attentive and nervous. I must also say that it is false that the game is passed in 10-15 hours. At the point where I am, and without spoiling, I still have many mechanics to discover, weapons to use and skills to unlock.
In short, I recommend Prey for those who like the science fiction genre, and mature First Person Shooter with hints of terror.
- I love this game.

Unlike many other current gen games it really rewards exploration, collecting items, upgrading your skills. I love that it takes hours until the whole gameplay mechanics are "revealed" and you get the hang of it. But it is not tedious to learn all that. In fact that is the most fun part of it. To discover all the cool stuff and ideas the devs have put in it. The amount of innovation in this game is incredible. It's such a breath of fresh air compared to the usual "go to this quest-marker, kill some monsters, collect some items" games.

I also like the graphics, setting, style and survival horror feeling.

It's the best game I've played in a while and it exceeded my expectations.
- User bought Prey 2017 Global from FUN4GAMERSIts greatest strength is its story and worldbuilding, which are top-notch. All the emails, audiologs, decor, and even the dialog are written tonally consistently and well. Story choices feel earned and actually have weight. It really feels like it's greater than the sum of its parts. The writing talents of Chris Avellone are on display here in full force. Many games' dialog feel insultingly basic and idiotic, not so here.

Gameplay-wise, if you've ever played System Shock 2, or even Bioshock, you'll be right at home here. It has so much more merit than Bioshock Infinite as a -shock game it's not even funny. The variety of skills keep things interesting, and there's a lot of potential for multiple Prey playthroughs, or, Preythroughs as nobody has ever called them. The game does kind of drag in the last quarter, but by that point you should be able to quickly run through everything to get to the plot.
- The beginning already blows your mind, it's one of the best introductions I've ever seen in a game!

This is a brutal game. He has no pity for you and does not underestimate your intelligence. Resources are limited. There is also the psychological issue (in the difficult way). You can wait to die several times, but don't worry, this is the kind of game that you save the time you want, unlike other games like Alien: Isolation where you have to get to a certain point (what I would think better to increase immersion further).

The story is not linear, all the decisions you make interfere in the end, even the side missions that seem irrelevant.

Prey is a game where decision making is the crucial factor. There is no right way to solve a problem or get to a certain point.
The ambience of the game is excellent. It's not like Alien: Isolation, but it comes close. The lighting, the sound effects and the soundtrack, give a special touch.
- User bought Prey 2017 Global from BudgetGamingAmazing story, nice graphics, fantastic gameplay. It's not easy to describe the kind of game it is in a few words. RPG, exploration, crafting, survival, and light stealth and shooting mechanics with tons of quests to do. The best of the game is the fact that you can play and solve its challenges however you want: brute force, stealth, hacking, searching clues, etc; there are always several ways to go on. Its difficulty is also quite well-balanced although I recommend playing it on hard difficulty.

If you like Deus Ex and Dishonored in a space survival environment, this is perfect. On top, it's now Denuvo free!
