Bong-gu the Welsh Corgi was once an abandoned dog. His tail, docked by a former owner, was a small trace of the life he once had - a life that ended too soon when he was left behind. At eight years old, burdened by illness and age, Bong-gu waited in a shelter as each day slipped quietly by. And then, a miracle happened.

A man - scruffy, awkward, but kind - took him home. Bong-gu loved his scent from the very first sniff. Together, they shared simple, perfect days: tug-of-war in the yard, long walks, cozy naps, and warm meals. When Bong-gu finally crossed the rainbow bridge, he did so peacefully - knowing he had been loved.

Sniff, sniff… that scent! In the fields of dog heaven, Bong-gu wakes to something familiar -  faint, but unmistakable. It’s Dad’s scent. Without hesitation, he bounds out of paradise, setting off on a miraculous journey to find the man who once saved him.

But the world beyond heaven is strange - beautiful, yet filled with danger. Teetering between life and death, Bong-gu must traverse breathtaking landscapes: shimmering deserts, snow-covered peaks, and quiet beaches filled with echoes of memory. Each step takes him closer to the one he loves - and the truth waiting at the journey’s end.

As a dog, Bong-gu’s world is shaped by his instincts and limitations. He can bark, sniff, run, and jump - but some challenges are too great to face alone. To reunite with his dad, he’ll need to give and receive help, learning that love often means trusting others.
