War machines and romance

The world's battles in 2090 are fought with giant war machines known as Wanzers. The only land border shared by the Oceania Cooperative Union (O.C.U.) and the Unified Continental States (U.C.S.) is Huffman Island, which is a hotspot of violence.Captain Royd Clive leads an O.C.U. reconnaissance platoon to investigate a United States weaponry production facility. They are ambushed by U.C.S. Wanzers, triggering a chain of events that leads to the entire island being at war. Royd's fiancée, Lieutenant Karen Meure, goes missing in action. After being dismissed from the military, Royd sets out to discover what happened to Karen. His investigation leads him closer and closer to the conspiracy and the forces behind the disaster.
