About the base game:

Combat Mission: Battle for Normandy realistically recreates tactical land fighting in Western France during WWII. The Base Game spans the three months following the Allied D-Day landings, beginning with Operation Overlord in June and ending with the Cobra Breakout in August. The grueling combat has become the stuff of legend, and Combat Mission's high accuracy and detail standards ensure that you'll feel the action as accurately as possible.
