About the base game:

Aliens: Dark Descent, a squad-based strategy game, sends players to a well-known Alien world. You will travel to the planet Lethe where your team has to put an end to a Xenomorph outbreak. As a Colonial Marines squad leader, you will command your troops against dreadful adversaries, including Weyland-Yutani agents and several iterations of the dreaded Xenomorphs.

Protect your squad

To create a squad of marines that suits your playing style, you will select from a variety of classes. Your team will encounter several new foes in addition to well-known monstrosities, including Facehuggers, Pretorians, and Alien Queens.

You may develop your base and give your troops new skills and weaponry in between missions. Because the game has a permadeath mechanic, choose wisely to help your squad members survive on Lethe. So, if any of your troops perish while on a mission, they are permanently lost. To survive your mission on Lethe, you must not be very predictable and vary your routines frequently because your adversaries will discover your strategies and adapt.
