The Talos Principle 2: mind-boggling puzzle game is back
The Talos Principle 2 is a sequel to the critically acclaimed sci-fi puzzle game. Explore a world of artificial intelligence and philosophy as you solve puzzles, traverse dangerous environments, and uncover the secrets of Talos. The sequel will magnificently expand the mesmerizing world and make you ask mind-boggling questions. The Talos Principle 2 embarks you on a quest in an era where humanity has long gone extinct, but our culture is preserved. The world is now home to robots created in our image. As you investigate a mysterious megastructure, you’ll ponder the nature of the cosmos, faith versus reason, and the fear of repeating humankind’s mistakes.

Alan Wake 2 arrives in October
The long-awaited horror game Alan Wake 2 has received a new trailer during the PlayStation Showcase. The titular character will be joined by a new character: Saga Anderson. These two will investigate the Dark Place. The game will appear on October 17, 2023. Continuing its predecessor’s storyline, Alan Wake 2 leans into survival horror territory as opposed to being an action game with horror elements. Consequently, the game requires a more strategic approach, as players must utilize their arsenal of limited resources wisely in order to defeat formidable opponents.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Remake
Konami has finally announced the remake of the iconic story of Big Boss. The presented trailer didn’t show much, and we also haven’t seen any gameplay bits. Nevertheless, fans of the series can be pretty excited. Konami described this title as a faithful remake that will entertain veterans and welcome new players. We might expect seamless gameplay and a faithful recreation of the story. That’s not everything, though: we’ll also receive the Metal Gear Solid remaster collection, which includes Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Metal Gear Solid 3.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Assassin’s Creed Mirage has received a new trailer and most excitingly, a release date! The latest addition to the AC series will be available on October 12, 2023, across all major consoles. The trailer revealed a gripping setting and thrilling new mechanics. Though Mirage will be a shorter game than typical Assassin’s Creed titles, the experience is no less valuable. Developers emphasized that the game would return to the series’ roots, featuring more linear exploration emphasizing parkour and stealth- hallmarks of the early Assassin’s Creed classics. Spider-Man 2: The beloved web-slinger has returned!
The PlayStation Showcase brought some new materials about the upcoming Spider-Man 2 game. Since the previous part turned out to be a huge hit, we are pretty certain the sequel will be as exciting, if not better! The trailer shows Peter Parker, Miles Morales, Venom, and Kraven, so we might expect an action-packed Marvel extravaganza for every fan of this iconic comic book. The revealed gameplay looks quite spectacular. Stunning views and seamless movements make us believe we are in for a real treat. Unfortunately, we still haven’t received a precise release date. Spider-Man 2 might come out sometime in the fall of 2023.

Concord: new shooter to be released in 2024
Concord is an upcoming PVP multiplayer FPS produced by Firewalk Studios. This title will come out both on PS5 and PC. This shooter is going to be released next year, so we still have some time to wait. Concord will be set in a futuristic setting and boast a cast of colorful, diverse characters and exciting worlds to discover. As we read on the PlayStation blog, “Every time you log on is the beginning of a new adventure, and every match is an opportunity for a new story.” Sounds pretty exciting! We can’t wait to see more footage of this game. Could it be the next hit like Apex Legends? Time will tell!

Ghostrunner 2
One More Level is bringing back the hardcore FPP slasher set in a dark cyberpunk city, set to release sometime in 2023. Its spectacular trailer showcases thrilling motorcycle sequences and action-packed combat. Get ready for a game that will leave you on the edge of your seat!

Destiny 2: The Final Shape. New Destiny 2 DLC
The next expansion to the acclaimed multiplayer FPS Destiny 2 was also announced during the PlayStation Showcase. Destiny 2: The Final Shape will be the franchise’s eighth DLC. Don’t let the name fool you: it won’t be the last Destiny 2 expansion! The release date for The Final Shape remains a mystery, except that it is slated for 2024. Perhaps, it will hit the shelves sometime in February, similar to two previous expansions. That’s all that we know about the game: the trailer doesn’t reveal much. The coming months will most likely bring more news on the topic.

Neva
From the developers of the highly popular Gris, Neva is a visually stunning adventure. This indie game tells the touching story of a young woman and her bond with a wolf. These two will set out on a journey through the beautiful lands of a slowly decaying world. The game promises to bring emotional (and important!) themes, gorgeous views, and music. Neva is definitely a game we can’t wait for!

Foamstars
More like…Shampoon? Foamstars is a game that awoke quite mixed feelings since it looks like a strange Splatoon ripoff. Instead of using paint, players will use foam. Players have to compete against each other and cover the ground with as much foam as possible. Since it’s Square Enix’s work, we might expect some good gameplay, but we are not sure whether a copy of an incredibly popular Nintendo title will be successful.

Resident Evil 4 Remake VR Mode
The highly successful Resident Evil 4 Remake will soon jump on PS VR 2 headsets. Considering how warmly welcomed was the remake, we are more than sure that the VR version will be equally fantastic (and terrifying). There’s not a lot of info on this title. As promised earlier, it’s going to be a free update. The game will use powerful PS VR 2 controllers and give fans a truly immersive, authentic Resident Evil experience. When the upgrade will be released is yet to be revealed.

Dragon’s Dogma 2
The sequel to the game launched in 2012 once again takes us to a magical fantasy land. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is an action RPG that puts emphasis on single-player action with a gripping narrative and customizable experience. Our decisions and choices will shape the story so that no two plays of the game are ever the same. We don’t know when Dragon’s Dogma 2 will come out, but it will premiere both on consoles and PC.

Phantom Blade Zero
If you are looking for a dark-themed hack-and-slash game, Phantom Blade Zero might be a title for you. Produced by a Chinese S-Game studio, it’s a spiritual successor to a very popular mobile game Rainblood: Town of Death. Players assume the role of Soul, an elite warrior who is wrongly accused of murder. World of Phantom Blade Zero is a dark, gloomy place and will feature a plethora of challenges set in the Kungfupunk setting.

Sword of the Sea
Sword of the Sea is another indie game presented during the PlayStation Showcase. From the studio that made ABZU, this title will appear on both consoles and PC. The game will take us on a beautiful journey through stunning landscapes. Players are going to traverse the terrain using a special sword that feels like using a snowboard. We will have to master the Hoversword and restore life to a desolate world. A thrilling combination of skating and exploration, it’ll take you to emotional heights you won’t find anywhere else, all with the signature touch of Giant Squid.

Towers of Aghasaba
This action-adventure RPG game from Dreamlit Inc. is an open-world adventure. Explore Aghasba, learn more about its lush ecosystem, and…build! Yes, Towers of Aghasaba lets you build settlements using a plethora of diverse building tools. You’ll also be tasked with restoring life in a devastated land. Towers of Aghasaba will also feature a multiplayer mode, in which you’ll be able to interact with other players and show off each other’s creations.

Ultros
One of the most unusual games featured during the show, Ultros is a psychedelic adventure produced by Hadoque. After waking up stranded on The Sarcophagus, you’ll have to explore this odd place filled with dangerous aliens and secrets. It has an eccentric art style and a mystical soundtrack from the amazing El Huervo, known for his work on Hotline Miami. With a unique loop-based mechanic, you’ll have the chance to restart the story at pivotal moments, letting you reveal secrets, access new areas in the world, and unlock abilities on a branching skill tree. Ultros will be released sometime in 2024.

Immortals of Aveum
This single-player magic shooter is all about spectacular combat and aesthetic that mixes fantasy with sci-fi. As a member of Immortals, you’ll become a powerful battlemage who has access to over 25 spells and 80 talents. You’ll also have access to hundreds of weapons and armor sets as you explore the rich world of Aveum. Immortals of Aveum is slated for release on July 20, 2023, and will be available on PC as well!

PlayStation Project Q and PlayStation Earbuds
The PlayStation Showcase is not just about games, but also about new technology from the console giant. Sony presented two upcoming gadgets for PS5 owners. Project Q is a dedicated device that looks almost like a handheld console. In fact, it’s a device that allows players to stream games on a portable companion device. Another interesting gadget is the PlayStation Earbuds, wireless headphones that provide a great audio experience while gaming, including lossless streaming and low latency.
