The Pegnitztalbahn, or Pegnitz Valley Railway, is a long-distance and regional railroad that runs through the countryside of Bavaria, Germany, connecting the country's south to Czech territory. The line is one of few in Germany that has yet to be electrified, therefore diesel traction is still used for all traffic. The DB BR 612 makes a bold presence in Train Simulator Classic, emerging from the meandering rails of Chemnitz in Train Sim World. The BR 612, which wears the same Franken-Sachsen-Express branding as the Pegnitztalbahn, makes light work of the curving line, leaning into corners for greater passenger comfort.
