GTA IV provides such sense of immersion and it really makes you feel like you're in Liberty City. Despite being released in 2008, the amount of detail found in GTA IV (and in Rockstar's products released after 2008), is something that not every developer is able to do/copy (so far at least). However, the controls feel really clunky and the animations are nowhere near as smooth as the ones found in Rockstar' latest work. The cover system works, but it doesn't feel as natural as in GTA V. I could mention the handling due to the cars being "too slippery", but Rockstar went for realism and that's what we got. Annoying at times, but it is realistic. Despite its flaws, it still remains as my favorite GTA game in the series. Would love to see a remaster or a properly optimized PC version of it released.
