Sarà la settima voce della serie di videogiochi Hitman ed è il sequel del gioco Hitman del 2016. L'uscita del gioco è prevista per il 13 novembre 2018.
Dopo gli eventi del suo predecessore del 2016, Hitman , l'Agente 47 intraprende una missione per dare la caccia al misterioso Shadow Client e smantellare la sua milizia, scoprendo anche la verità nascosta sul suo passato.
Il gameplay di Hitman 2 sarà simile al suo predecessore del 2016, poiché l'Agente 47, un assassino a contratto che lavora per l'International Contract Agency (ICA), viaggia in varie località in tutto il mondo per eliminare obiettivi di alto profilo. Il gioco presenta sei missioni, ambientate in sei luoghi distinti. Una delle missioni del gioco si svolgerà in un ippodromo a Miami, negli Stati Uniti. Il gioco introduce gadget concussivi, che possono essere utilizzati per far perdere i sensi a un NPC, e reintroduce la valigetta, che consente al giocatore di nascondere e trasportare armi di grandi dimensioni, come i fucili di precisione, in pubblico senza destare sospetti.
L'annuncio del gioco è stato accompagnato dal rilascio di una modalità multiplayer cooperativa intitolata Sniper Assassin, disponibile immediatamente per coloro che preordinano Hitman 2 . Questa modalità sarà anche inclusa in bundle con tutte le copie di Hitman 2 quando il gioco uscirà. In questa modalità, i giocatori hanno il compito di eliminare i bersagli usando un fucile da cecchino entro un limite di tempo prestabilito. Il gioco è stato annunciato il 7 giugno 2018 durante un live streaming da WB Games. Everything in the game is an enjoyable challenge, either in terms of the stealth, or the combat, or perhaps just the problem solving. You can drop the difficulty and still have to find devious ways to off a particularly challenging target but without worrying so much about the execution of your chosen method. If you want it all to be rock hard, that’s there too. The game caters for all needs and provides lavish dollops of fun and joy to all who partake in the delights offered. With the mission stories, the delightfully vibrant maps and the challenges there’s just so much to keep you coming back for more too. Add to that the seemingly infinite methods of killing, the variety of tools to help you achieve that perfect death and all the other fun things you can play about with (throwing coins is one thing, but blueberry muffins?), then the Hitman 2 package demonstrates its brilliance with alarming regularity. This is the best Hitman game.<br>

- Hitman 2 is a stealth game. You play as Agent 47 who must assassinate several targets over the world. Although the game has only about 8 different areas, they are huge and provide you with multiple ways to get to your target. Each area has tons of challenges and unlockables so you are going to spend a lot of time discovering new things even though you are playing on the same map.<br>If you own Hitman 1, you can download and play its maps in Hitman 2 for free. This is really useful since Hitman 2 introduces a few new mechanics, such as NPCs being able to see you through mirrors and reflections.<br>Overall this is a really fun game and you should treat it more of a "sandbox" instead of something really serious.
