Warlords Battlecry III es la tercera edición de la serie híbrida RTS/RPG, que en sí misma es un derivado de los juegos de estrategia por turnos Warlords de SSG. Al igual que sus predecesores, Battlecry III está ambientado en el mundo de espadas y brujería de Etheria, una tierra poblada por humanos, orcos, elfos y otras razas de fantasía. Los jugadores eligen un personaje héroe que liderará sus fuerzas a través de una serie de misiones en tiempo real, llenas de combate. Los héroes se desarrollan a medida que avanzan con éxito en la campaña y disfrutan de mejoras personalizadas obtenidas a través de la experiencia.

- I played this RTS a lot in my childhood and it was always fun for me music is very climatic and lore is very interesting. Graphics seems odd, now but on the other hand it has some charm, only ai can seem to be little dump but thankfully, the steam always has the newest patch made by fans. Each race has some unique units and there are so many of race 18 if you count, and each has a other start in the game and story very putted to the lore. the only bad thing i remember from the game was a expensive cost in gold for some units, and sometime units can block in buildings so you must control them well, but those flaws are not that big. I was playing on the last official patch some maybe in the latests fan patch it was repaired. Nevertheless highly recommend everyone to play this classic.
