Top 5 of 2019 has to be concluded and this is our last installment of this summary series. We keep the the best to the very end and now it’s time to share with you guys with our Top 5 Action games of 2019. Bygone year was really fruitful for this explosive genre and it was a really tough decision to pick only 5 products.
Games are not listed in particular order as we are not the ultimate judges and all of these are equally worth trying. None of these project will disappoint you and they will bring unforgettable moments and experience.
Top 5 Action Games: Number 1
Date of Release: 13th of September
Set few years after the events of Borderlands 2, Borderlands 3 throws us into new conflict in the world of Pandora. This time we have to face the cult called Children of The Vault – lead by Calypso Twins. Story of the game set a deeper focus on well-known Siren race and their psychic possibilities.
Borderlands 3 is a great mix of FPS shooter and RPG game with a great dose of corky humour, very specific characters, and unique but already very recognizable graphic style. Once again we are offered an enormous arsenal of randomly generated weapons. 4 classes waiting to be picked up and developed according to our preferences. Good old Borderlands spirit is present in new irritation of warmly-welcomed game series created by Gearbox Software
Top 5 Action Games: Number 2
Date of Release: 22nd of March
Critically-acclaimed and what’s most important award-winning game. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice named the best game of the year as well as the best adventure game of 2019. Set in dark and grim alternate history of 15th century Japan pose very dangerous threats. As a shadow you need to be very accurate and cautious. Sekiro, as a FromSoftware child, is very similar to the Souls Series or Bloodborne when it comes to the combat. This time however, we have more stealth and magic elements (cheating death as one of them) open in our fan of abilities as well as firearms in form of special prosthesis.
Almost 60 uniquely-designed bosses and sub-bosses waiting impatiently to be slayed, intriguing and interesting locations and well-directed cut-scenes – all of these enhancing even more our gaming experience.
Top 5 Action Games: Number 3
Date of Release: 15th of November
Long-waited new game from the Star Wars universe is finally here. And it’s a good one! Being on the verge of action and adventure game Fallen Order is not only a brainless hack’n’slash. In fact the combat is very precise, most of the time we are facing not more than 3 enemies which gives us the duel vibe more than a smashing buttons and creating combos. There are elements of exploration with a lot of climbing, jumping or crawling, a RPG-like development system and much more.
Story is set between “Revenge of The Sith” and “A New Hope” episodes and tells a story of hiding from infamous order 66 young jedi padawan. As the game progress our protagonist learn new combinations and force/mind tricks.
Top 5 Action Games: Number 4
Date of Release: 15th of February
The final part of the trilogy set in Metro 2033 universe created by Russian writer and author – Dmitry Glukhovsky. This time we explore much more open and not so linear areas of Russia. FPS mechanics remained the same, crafting system is very complex, stealth is satisfactory as always. Changing seasons and day/night cycle make game even more realistic. A lot of dangerous and vicious enemies are waiting ranging from humans ending in radiated abominations. Top 5 Action Games:Number 5
Date of Release: 8th of March
The best action game according to the Game Awards has to find its place on our Top 5 Action list. Stylish, fast-paced and exciting combat is the etiquette of DMC 5. As well as great dose of weapons, upgrades and unique abilities to use.
Fights with enormous monsters and mutants on open, but detailed areas are also very pleasant and enjoyable.
Great story, returning and beloved characters, famous places will for sure bring fans of the series.
