In only a few hours, one of the biggest gaming events in the world will begin. Since GAMIVO will be there to celebrate, we will share what we’ve seen with you. For now, let’s take a look at what is waiting for us during Gamescom 2023.
Opening Night Live
Gamescom kicks off with Opening Night Live hosted by Geoff Keighley. This showcase will feature the biggest upcoming titles. We do hope to see some spectacular cinematics and never-seen-before footage. These titles have been confirmed to appear during the show:
- Alan Wake II
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
- Black Myth Wukong
- Cyberpunk: Phantom Liberty
- Mortal Kombat I
If you want to watch the stream, we’ve got your back. Here’s the link to the stream!
But wait, there’s more!
Gamescom celebrates all things games. Indie game fans will have a chance to see what is happening in the world of independent studios. This year’s event will be hosted by BBC journalist Shay Thompson. This showcase will also be streamed online, so make sure you check out the official channels on YouTube.
What do we want to see?
There are a few titles we really want to see at Gamescom 2023. One of these games is S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: Heart of Chornobyl, a continuation of an epic shooter set in the post-apocalyptic reality of Chornobyl’s Exclusion Zone. We’ll also take a closer look at other big upcoming titles like Wukong, Call of Duty Modern Warfare III, or Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Hopefully, attendees will be able to check out the demos for these games!
Another title we are super excited about is the DLC for Cyberpunk 2077. Phantom Liberty is, after all, a long-awaited expansion to the rather controversial title from CD Projekt Red. We’ll get to see what the developers have in store for us with this new content.
We can’t forget about Mortal Kombat 1. The legendary fighting game is going to bring refreshed combat with some new additions and new stories of well-known characters. Similarly, Call of Duty Modern Warfare III will show beloved heroes in a new light, hopefully bringing lots of new content.
Apart from big AAA releases, we will take a closer look at indie games. Gamescom is, after all, a great opportunity for smaller studios to showcase their titles and start their journey in the industry.
