Table of Contents
Croc: Legend of the Gobbos
- Release date: April 2, 2025
- Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S

The classic 3D platformer will return in a remastered version. The cute crocodile will now jump, climb, swim, fight bosses, and yazoo in HD resolution and hi-res textures. Besides 45 original levels, the new version of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos will offer modern controls and new content, including concept art and interviews with developers.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered
- Release date: April 3, 2025
- Platforms: PC

Five years after the original release, PC players will have a chance to experience the sequel to Joel and Ellie’s epic adventure. They will get the version remastered for PS5. Hence, they can enjoy the 2020 Game of the Year with improved visuals and additional game modes, besides other enhancements and new content. The game will premiere just 10 days before the first episode of the second season of the HBO TV show, starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. It should boost the game’s popularity. I only hope that The Last of Us Part II PC port will be much better than its predecessor. The poor technical state of the game prevented many players from embarking on a journey in the fungus-infected America.
South of Midnight
- Release date: April 8, 2025
- Platforms: PC, Xbox Series X|S

It’s a third-person action-adventure game that takes players to a strange version of the American Deep South. You will follow Hazel, a girl who sees her hometown devastated by a hurricane. Moreover, her mother vanished during the cataclysm. Hazel embarks on a thrilling adventure through the ravaged land to find her. On her journey, the girl discovers that she can see mythical creatures from Southern folklore. Besides an unusual setting, South of Midnight stands out thanks to its visuals and stop-motion animation that reminds me of Coraline.
Commandos: Origins
- Release date: April 9, 2025
- Platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC

Claymore Game Studios stepped into the shoes of the defunct Pyro Studios and created the next chapter in the iconic real-time tactics series. Commandos: Origins puts you in control of six distinct characters, each with unique abilities. The team consists of:
- Jack O’Hara – the Green Beret,
- Thomas Hancock – the Sapper,
- Francis T. Woolridge – the Sniper,
- Samuel Brooklyn – the Driver,
- James Blackwood – the Marine,
- Rene Duchamp – the Spy.
Across more than 10 missions set in historically authentic locations, including the frozen Arctic plains and the scorching African deserts, players rely on stealth, strategy, and planning to outsmart enemies and accomplish high-stakes objectives. Besides the traditional single-player, Commandos: Origins offers cooperative multiplayer, either online or via local split-screen.
The Talos Principle: Reawakened
- Release date: April 10, 2025
- Platforms: PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X|S

In an era full of remakes and remasters, the praised puzzle game from Croteam will also get an upgraded version. The Talos Principle has been rebuilt on Unreal Engine 5, so players can expect much better visuals and quality-of-life upgrades. Furthermore, The Talos Principle: Reawakened includes the Road to Gehenna expansion and a brand new chapter called In the Beginning. I’m not sure if this is enough to convince players who have completed the game in the past to buy it again. However, The Talos Principle: Reawakened looks like a great choice for new gamers who like releases that test their brain rather than reflexes.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
- Release date: April 25, 2025
- Platforms: PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox Series X|S

This turn-based RPG from Sandfall Interactive is sometimes called the French Final Fantasy. The game is set in a world based on the Belle Époque. Players lead a group of expeditioners on a mission to destroy a deity known as the Paintress, which can cause the death of all people of a given age by painting it on a monolith. The developers promise to enrich the classic jRPG formula with original mechanics and offer countless possibilities for creating character builds.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves
- Release date: April 24, 2025
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S

Fatal Fury is a 2D fighting series that older players know well, but the younger generation may have never heard of, as the last installment came out in 1999. The game features a fighting system similar to its predecessors but a new art style. Players can choose from 17 characters in the base game, and at least five more will join as DLC. Interestingly, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves offers the classic Arcade Style control schemes and Smart Style, which lets you deliver devastating combos and spectacular special moves with just a single button.
Days Gone Remastered
- Release date: April 25, 2025
- Platforms: PlayStation 5

There are remasters that seem unnecessary, but this release is particularly surprising. The relations between Days Gone creators and Sony have been tense since the Japanese company complained about the game’s disappointing sales and shattered hopes for a sequel. Apparently, the numbers weren’t too bad because Days Gone will get a remaster. The action-adventure game about a guy on a motorcycle looking for his wife in postapocalyptic America will get visual upgrades, but they are barely visible, at least in the promotional materials. New content can be a more exciting addition. It includes permadeath, speedrun, and Horde Assault modes.
Forza Horizon 5
- Release date: April 29, 2025
- Platforms: PlayStation 5

Usually, players have to patiently wait until Sony allows them to play exclusive games on other platforms than PlayStation. This case is quite the opposite. A top Xbox and PC racing game is heading toward PlayStation four years after the original premiere. Forza Horizon 5 has been widely praised for its gameplay and outstanding visuals. Hence, it should be a worthy competitor to Gran Turismo 7.
MotoGP 25
- Release date: April 30, 2025
- Platforms: PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S

The new installment of the MotoGP official game will come out this month. As usual, it tries to use its license and gameplay to provide players with the most authentic motorcycle racing experience. Thus, you will get carefully recreated circuits, bikes, and drivers. Besides its flagship championships, MotoGP 25 presents three new disciplines: Ride Motard, Flat Track, and Minibikes.
