It’s a great time for gamers. Shortly after the emotions of Gamescom 2023 came down, we got a new portion of thrilling news during PAX West. Let’s summarize all the most exhilarating announcements from the event that ran from September 1 to 4 at the Seattle Convention Center.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
The most important piece of news is that, despite some disturbing rumors, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is being developed! At PAX West, Paradox Interactive revealed that The Chinese Room is the studio that had taken over the project from Hardsuit Labs. The action RPG about vampires should come out in late 2024 and will be available on PC and next-gen consoles.
We’re optimistic about the project, as The Chinese Room is a studio known for outstanding releases such as Dear Esther and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture.
Final Fantasy XVI
FF16 is the first fully-fledged action RPG in the mainline Final Fantasy series, featuring a semi-open world and action-based combat. Players explore the war-torn world of Valisthea as a new protagonist called Clive Rosfield. The game first premiered on PS5 and has been praised by both critics and players. Final Fantasy XVI sold over 3 million copies in just a few weeks.
At PAX West, the game’s director, Naoki Yoshida, revealed some much-anticipated revelations. First of all, he officially confirmed the PC version of the PS5 exclusive. Unfortunately, the release date of the Windows port hasn’t been disclosed yet. Moreover, Yoshida declared that two paid Final Fantasy 16 DLCs would be released.

Moreover, Nintendo finally unveiled the gameplay of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. All fans agree that the upcoming title, starring the world’s most famous plumber, looks more than promising. Another thrilling piece of news is that it will feature both offline and online cooperation modes. Last but not least, here’s the probably final list of playable characters:
- Mario,

Little Goody Two Shoes
This horror adventure game, developed by Astral Shift, was announced in 2022. Despite its release date remaining unknown, we finally learned the list of platforms on which Little Goody Two Shoes is going. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game will follow the story of Elise, who finds enchanted shoes and embarks on an exciting yet dangerous journey. Its gameplay is an homage to RPGs from the original PlayStation era.
Baldur’s Gate 3
Both players and critics fell in love with the new take on the classic Baldur’s Gate series. The PC version was released on August 3, and the PS5 port will follow on September 6. It takes players to Faerûn over a century after the Baldur’s Gate 2 events.
Larian, the studio behind the Divinity series, successfully implemented elements of their flagship franchise into the RPG classic. As a result, players get an almost flawless modern role-playing game they can explore for hours without even the slightest signs of being bored. No wonder Baldur’s Gate 3 has a nearly perfect Metascore of 96. The Seattle event was the first opportunity to play the game on the Sony console.
