We always hear your voice, and many of you were excited about our PennyPlay promotion. You asked us if it would return. We’ve got great news—PennyPlay is back! And it’s bigger and better! You can still participate in auctions without spending a dime, but the all-new Premium section will let you win even better rewards. And of course, our ever-hungry pal, PennyPal, is back, too! Sit tightly, and we’ll tell you everything you should know about the new PennyPlay.
What is PennyPlay?
PennyPlay is a promotion organized by GAMIVO. It lets you join auctions where you use your bids to win a chance to buy the most desired products at incredible discounts. For instance, you can get a €50 gift card for a few cents. PennyPlay originally premiered in the summer of 2025 and instantly became enormously popular, so it returns in March 2026, enhanced with new, exciting features.
How do the auctions work?
In general, PennyPlay auctions work like the auctions you already know. However, there are some twists. First of all, you bid with your bids. Each bid raises the price by one cent. The user whose bid is the last one wins the auction and can buy the product at the price set in the course of the auction.
The winning bidder receives a unique discount code that lets them buy the auctioned item at the price set by the last bid. The coupon is valid for 48 hours. There’s also a new feature that lets the winner exchange the value of the auctioned products for additional bids instead of using their discount.
The prices are usually just a fraction of the items’ official value, but theoretically, they can reach or even exceed it. In such a situation, or if you believe the action is getting too intense, you can buy the product, paying its official price. If you haven’t won, you can also buy the product to get back all the bids you placed during the auction.
Basic vs. Premium
This time, you can participate in two types of auctions: Basic and Premium. The former resembles what you may remember from our first PennyPlay promotion. You use Basic bids, also known as free bids, to participate in auctions. It’s a great chance to learn how PennyPlay works and whether you like it (we hope you do!).
However, this time, the Premium auctions enter the stage, elevating the fun and allowing you to win even more valuable gift cards and video games. Participating in Premium auctions requires Premium bids.
To make things easier, we marked everything related to Basic auctions with orange, while regal purple is the color of the Premium auctions. We recommend that you participate in some Basic auctions before joining the Premium ones, but it’s not necessary.
How to get bids
Basic bids are also called free bids because they’re free. You will get them as a bonus with your GAMIVO purchases. Moreover, you already have some Basic bids on your account–go and use them!
To level the chance and prevent abuses, we set some limits. Hence, you can claim a given amount of Basic bids monthly. Also, the maximum number of those bids at one account has been set.
Premium bids don’t need such restrictions, so you can have as many as you like. If you need more, you can top up your account:
- Convert your GAMIVO balance into Premium bids. You can do it easily using our built-in converter that will craft your Premium bids in no time.
- If you don’t have a GAMIVO balance, you can easily buy GAMIVO Gift Cards and convert them instantly.
Snipers not allowed
Ever been outbid at the last possible moment? We call those bidders “snipers,” and we’ve designed PennyAuction to prevent them from ruining the fun. To keep things fair, any bid placed within the final 9 seconds resets the auction timer back to 9 seconds. Hence, the auction continues as long as you want to bid, and there’s no chance that someone wins only because they joined a nanosecond before the clock runs out.
PennyPal, your bidding friend
Bidding is fun. However, we understand that you might not have time to actively participate in all your favorite auctions. And this is why PennyPal was born. It’s a smart tool that can add bids for you. You decide how many bids you want to use, and PennyPal will use them near the end of the auction to make sure you’re still in the game.
