Like most Telltale graphic novels, The Wolf Among Us is an adaptation. The game was based on Bill Willingham’s Fables comic book series, but many players have stated that it surpassed the source material. The original The Wolf Among Us was divided into five episodes released between October 2013 and November 2014. Players loved its compelling and mature story, characters based on classic folklore, and distinctive neo-noir style. Like all Telltale games, The Wolf Among Us was choice-driven. The revived Telltale Games announced the game in December 2019 at the Game Awards. Initially, its release date was revealed as March 1, 2023. However, it was delayed due to switching from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5. The studio hadn’t revealed the new release date yet, but fans believed that the game would come out sometime in 2024. Unfortunately, those hopes didn’t come true. As months passed by, fans started to believe that The Wolf Among Us 2 was cancelled. And then Press Over’s report popped out. If the sources are correct, the game will be released in 2027, while in 2026, the developer will release an official announcement.

Even though The Wolf Among Us 2 consists of several episodes, they were all developed simultaneously. Thus, we assume that Telltale will release the whole game at once. It would be a welcome change since episodes of the original The Wolf Among Us premiered a few months apart. There’s nothing more frustrating than waiting for months to play the next chapter of a story you’re invested in.
The Wolf Among Us 2 – story
The Wolf Among Us 2 is set half a year after the final episode of the first game. Players will return to Fabletown, a secret community in New York, where characters from folklore and fables, such as Snow White or the eponymous Big Bad Wolf, live.
Bigby, the sheriff of Fabletown, will have to crack another case that disturbs the city. The details of the story remain undisclosed.

In The Wolf Among Us 2, gameplay continues to emphasize the importance of player choice, mirroring the deeply narrative-driven mechanics that fans admired in the first game. As Bigby Wolf, players will navigate through Fabletown’s grimy streets.
