Starwars Jedi Fallen is an action and adventure-packed journey, full of combating storm troopers from planet to planet and puzzle-solving in cryptic tombs. You must do what it takes to survive.

Main Premise

We find out that our mission is to locate the Astrium so that we can unlock the ancient vault on planet Zeffo, which holds the Holocron. We must destroy the Holocron to complete our mission, which can only be done by progressing through the levels, completing various puzzles, and fighting beasts and stormtroopers who are persistent in blocking the keys to the solution.

Puzzle Solving

We start as the main character, Cal Kestis, who takes the role as a Padawan, or Jedi apprentice. Kestis is rescued by a ship of Starwars universe outcasts after coming into death’s grip with the empire, who are in search of our help to access an ancient vault created by the Zeffos. Hidden on planet Zeffo’s various tombs are pieces of a key that we learn can only be accessed by a true Jedi. To retrieve these keys, we need to solve power puzzles. One wrong move and we can easily die. One puzzle involves maneuvering through an electric water turbine. Our problem-solving skills are put to the test, here, as we must figure out the source of the electricity so we can swim across through the generator without getting electrocuted. These kinds of puzzles are scattered throughout the game and different planets. There are hidden rooms as well.

Combat

The game jumps back and forth, giving us a variety of stimulation to retrieve the missing pieces. When we aren’t puzzled solving, we are fighting stormtroopers. As you progress through the level, you have access to new weapons to fight with. It is up to you to decide which weapon to use on your enemies to defeat them and what moves to defend yourself with.

Helpful Guidelines

Block

When you are fighting enemies, you are likely going to want to fight and strike your enemy with zero defence. The lightsabre makes this virtually impossible, as it seems natural to come out full swing. In easier levels where your enemies are low-level, this may work, however in levels like Jedi Knight and Jedi Master, enemies fight harder, and so being on defence is important.

Utilize the Holomap

When we meet BD-1, we learn that he can project a holographic map. The map can show you what passageways you have taken, possible short cuts, and if you missed areas. It can be a helpful tool as you can go back and complete tasks and be rewarded.

Unleash Skills

One thing with this game is you can’t rely on one skill, alone. Take some time to practice your skills and learn how to use them all. There is more than one way to defeat enemies and sometimes there are combinations you can use that will help you complete your mission much quicker.
