With one of the most captivating storylines and characters, it is easy to see why Total War: Three Kingdoms is such a hit with the masses. This real-time strategy game has made a lot of improvements from Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia, which was the last installation so there is plenty of new features to look forward to that will keep you hooked. Here is everything that you need to know about Total War: Three Kingdoms:

A Well-crafted Storyline

Total War: Three Kingdoms is a great installment of the franchise. The strategic core is well refined to make the game even more addictive. The new setting begins with the collapse of the Han Dynasty which took place between the late 100s and early 200 CE. As such, predictably, the storyline is characterized by fractured alliances and political turmoil. Total War: Three Kingdoms also has a nice mix of mystery, folklore and even romance all of which mix together to give gamers a complete and addictive experience.

More Interactivity

Total War: Three Kingdoms has everything that you need a real-time strategy game to have. Apart from offering gamers a more guided narrative compared to the previous installation, there is plenty of misfortune, duplicity and iconic moments that will keep the players occupied. However, you will really appreciate a city that is a lot more intuitive and less limiting. Total War: Three Kingdoms has done a great job of creating balance in the characters and the stories they have to tell but it is the 4X strategy that stands out the most.

Fascinating Gameplay

Games will have the option to assume the role of one of 11 warlords in the Three Kingdoms. Each warlord will start off with a campaign that will then branch out into 2 primary storylines depending on the decisions that the character makes. The decisions made by each warlord will impact the strength of their armies as well as where they stand in term of diplomacy. The actual mechanics are yet to be revealed but when a player picks an army unit, he or she will be able to pick the attack or defense to be implemented against other attackers.
