- Oblivion is an open world RPG that is great in immersing the player in a fantasy world. The games great elements is allowing a player to build a character the way they want, rather then the way the developers want. The environment is beautiful. There are a few drawbacks. Combat is simplistic, some of the animations (such as jumping) are horrid looking and the ragdoll effects do tend to somewhat break the immersion sometimes.<br><br>However, its in depth storyline and lore can only be competed with by its predecessor, Morrowind. Although possibly accurate in calling it a dumbed down version, Oblivion still carries a lot of elements that many other RPG titles miss.

NPC conversations basically never make sense but might be the best part of the game. Every quest is unique and memorable, be it a side quest or main.
- Oblivion is one of those games that you see after the years go by and you realize that it was a pioneer in the genre it represented in its launch days, and I can say this because even though time has passed it is still fun to get lost in the lands of Cyrodiil.<br>I have played it recently and although it shows that the years do not pass in vain, i won't say that it's perfect, it certainly has flaws, but beyond that it is still a sample of what made this saga unique, from the variety of spells, weapons and the incredible quantity and quality of its quests, to the beautiful graphics for a game of the year 2006, they're simply amazing.<br>It is a really cheap game nowadays, and its price/value ratio is quite good, a purchase recommended to fans of the genre.

This for me is the classic. One of the first RPG games I've ever played and I am not just talking about nostalgia here. It has some of the best quests I've ever seen. For instance Dark Brotherhood in this game has really mindblowing plot twists and Thief Guild are all about stealing this time. And at least for me, Main Quest is best in the series. For the first time you are not a hero. You actually follow main hero and help him achieve his destiny which I prefer. I am tired of all the games where you are basically walking God. Not in this one. And modding community still rocks.
