The most anticipated games of fall 2019

With winter nearly upon us, the days are getting shorter and shorter, so it’s the right time to find a good game to get you through this depressing time of the year. Luckily for you, there are quite a few exciting titles coming out in the next months. With some of the big names making a comeback and new additions to the most popular franchises, everyone will be able to find something they’ll enjoy.

Death Stranding

It’s the newest game from Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions, which is set to be published in November this year by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4. This title promises a lot of action, vocal performances from the likes of Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen, and an intriguing narrative that connects the world of living with the world of the death. It’s definitely a very promising product, and it’s worth keeping an eye on. And the developers are doing their best to keep gamers interested, with Hideo Kojima going as far as announcing a completely new video game genre for his creation. It’s called social strand game and is said to be based around the value of building connections. Though, to find out what it means exactly, we’ll have to wait till November.

Luigi’s Mansion 3

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is an upcoming game from Nintendo with the release date on October 31. It centres around the character of Luigi, the slightly lesser-known brother of the world-famous Mario. The plot will feature the protagonist fighting to save his friends after their vacation takes an unexpected turn. Apart from a single-player mode, a multiplayer one will also be available granting a chance for up to 8 players to enjoy the game together at the same time. While playing, you’ll be able to explore different floors of a hotel in search of your adversary.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

This first-person shooter from Infinity Ward and Activision is awaiting its release for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 25, 2019. As the sixteenth part of the Call of Duty franchise, this game will have a tough job to meet the expectations of fans. Yet from what we know so far, it’s quite possible it’ll be a great new addition to the series. With a more realistic approach to combat and battlegrounds and the introduction of cross-platform multiplayer, it’s bound to become popular among fans of action video games. Plus, we can not only expect the comeback of everyone’s favourites like Captain Price but the return of a single-player campaign as well.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint

This upcoming tactical shooter developed and published by Ubisoft is the newest instalment of the Tom Clancy’s franchise. It’ll be released on October 4 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The storyline is set in 2023 on a fictional Pacific Island called Auroa and centres around the main character, a special forces operative, who’s on a quest to find out the truth about the suspicious actions of a company known as Skell Technology. With a more realistic approach, Ghost Recon Breakpoint is sure to breathe some fresh air into this popular franchise.

Pokémon Sword and Shield

The newest RPG from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company is set to be released on November 15, 2019. The game starts a new generation of the franchise and will feature quite a typical premise for this series with a player going on an adventure with the goal of becoming the best Pokémon trainer in the region. Although the decision to not include all of the Pokémon in this instalment caused a backlash from fans, as a part of the most popular franchise in the world this game will definitely prove to be popular.
