Tales of Arise Setting

The Tales of Arise features two planets, Dahna and Rena. Dahna is a backward society showcasing past life and history. Everything looks backdated, including weaponry. Characters use traditional weapons like swords, machetes, and don on heavy armors for protection.

Above Dahna lies the advanced planet Rena. It’s a new planet with all the latest luxuries and privileges. It’s years apart from Dahna, and characters boast of sophisticated weaponry inform of rifles and high-level magic. 

Creatures in Rena used their powers and advanced technology to take over Dahna. Planet Dahna has been under slavery for over 300 years. In Dahna, they believe Rena is heaven, a divine land where their destiny lies. To them, the gods and dead dwell in the mysterious planet; Rena.

Game Play

Players take on the roles of Alphen or Shionne. Alphen is a native of Dahna, thus a slave while Shionne comes from Rena. Despite the animosity between the two lands, Shionne and Alphen become friends from the onset.

Play starts in Dahna the undeveloped land where players encounter stunning combats packed with horrifying monsters. They can access a range of weaponry and magic depending on their location.

Many Tale series use Linear Motion Battle Systems, but with a tweak of characters, features and combat. It’s possible for Tale of Arise to embrace an open world setting.
