What is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth?
It’s The second phase of the Final Fantasy VII Remake project- a modern take on the beloved 1997 RPG. Building upon the events of the initial remake, which covered a significant portion of the original game, this action RPG masterpiece is crafted and published by Square Enix exclusively for PlayStation 5.
There will be plenty of adventures awaiting, including about 100 hours of gameplay, according to the developers. This is due to the inclusion of new story elements and areas that were not present in the original game. In addition, players can expect to encounter familiar characters: Cloud Strife, Tifa Lockhart, or Aerith Gainsborough. We will also fight alongside Red XIII, now a playable character.

As we’ve read on the PlayStation blog, each region will feel different and distinct. Moreover, there will be Chocobos designed to fit each region in terms of their skills. That’s what we call attention to detail!
Rest assured, FF VII Rebirth maintains the nostalgia factor in both its storyline and familiar details that you’ll easily recognize, such as re-arranged music themes. It doesn’t mean that newcomers won’t appreciate the title. Both veterans of the series and new players will be equally entertained by this title!
Release date
The confirmed release date for February 29, 2024, was unveiled at PlayStation’s September 2023 State event. As previously mentioned, this title will be exclusive to PS5. Will the second part of the remake come to PCs? It remains uncertain, but with Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade now on Steam, there’s a possibility we might see the second part available for computers as well.
