The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits introduces the vibrant and adventurous world of Gibbi Point. This new world is made up of three distinct neighborhoods, each with its own unique charm and pre-built Getaway location.
- Wanderwood Wilds: An untamed, nature-focused area perfect for the outdoorsy Sim. It hosts the Camp Gibbi Gibbi Getaway, a classic summer camp experience.
- Crystal Valley: A scenic neighborhood featuring an erupting geyser and a bioluminescent bay. Here you’ll find the Revive & Thrive Getaway, likely focused on wellness and relaxation.
- Jellyfish Junction: A coastal area with a glowing jellyfish lagoon and a lively boardwalk. This neighborhood is home to the Love Highland Getaway, which sounds perfect for a romantic escape.

This expansion pack brings a renewed focus to the early years of a Sim’s life. Childhood is no longer just a phase to pass through; it’s a time for building character and forging lasting bonds.
- Formative Moments & New Traits: Child Sims can now experience key “Formative Moments” that help them develop new personality traits, shaping who they become as they grow up.
- Evolving Sentiments: Relationships built in childhood are more meaningful. Sims will form “Childhood Sentiments” towards others they grow up with, creating deeper, evolving stories.
- Modular Playgrounds: Build the playground of your dreams with customizable slides and activities.
- New Games: Kids can challenge each other to games of Hide and Seek or Rock, Paper, Scissors.
- Imaginary Friends: A beloved feature makes its return! Children can have one of four Imaginary Friend dolls, each with a unique personality: Goofball, Competitive, Creative, or Evil. This personality influences the activities they suggest, bringing an element of surprise and fun—just be sure to keep an eye on the Evil ones!

Tired of the same old vacation spots? Now you can design your own from the ground up.
- Build Your Own Venue: Create and decorate a unique Custom Venue Lot. You decide what kind of activities are available, from relaxing spa treatments to rugged outdoor challenges. Once you’re done, you can even share your creation on the Gallery for other players to enjoy.
- Design Your Getaway: These custom experiences, called Getaways, can last for a day or longer. You can schedule specific activities to help your Sims recharge or even challenge them.
- New Rule System: Add a layer of challenge with Getaway Rules. One exciting example is the “Elimination Rule,” where Sims compete to be the last one standing based on skill gains or relationship levels. This is especially fun for Sims with the new Competitive Trait, who thrive on a good challenge.
This new system provides an incredible amount of freedom, allowing you to craft everything from a peaceful family camping trip to a high-stakes reality show-style competition.
Release date and platforms
An official release date for The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits is set for October 2, 2025. This DLC requires the base game (The Sims 4) and will be available on all major platforms, including PC, Xbox, Playstation, and Mac.
