The new face of the beloved action RPG
Path of Exile, an action RPG from Grinding Gear Games, known for challenging but also incredibly gripping gameplay, will soon celebrate the release of a sequel.
It’s going to be is a separate game from the original Path of Exile, but both will continue to receive expansions. Importantly, PoE 2 will be a FTP game as well. The sequel will feature a plethora of of new mechanics to ensure a fresh experience for all players. Having said that, let’s see what is waiting for us in the next chapter of Path of Exile.
Path of Exile 2 story
In PoE 2, players will journey through Wraeclast, the same dark and dangerous world as in the original game. However, this time around, players will experience a new storyline with brand-new characters and areas to explore. The events will take place 20 years after the story from PoE.

Upon completing the six-act campaign, you’ll gain access to Path of Exile 2’s extensive endgame content. With over 100 endgame maps, each containing its boss fight and modifiers, you’ll experience revamped versions of many past leagues. Path of Exile 2 release date and platforms
The sequel to Path of Exile is in full production, but unfortunately, the developers didn’t share any details concerning its release date or even closed beta date. It is suggested that it will be released in late 2024. When it comes to platforms, PoE will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S
Path of Exile 2 microtransactions
